WHERE FINE WINE MEETS THE WIDE OPEN SPACES

Welcome to B.C.'s newest--and--oldest winery. The best of old and new come together at Hunting Hawk Winery at O'Keefe Ranch.

The ranch was established in 1860 and was the commercial, social and cultural hub of the North Okanagan for more than a century. Our new winery is part of the restoration of this beautiful historic site to the status it enjoyed in its heyday. Hunting Hawk has planted two acres of Ortega (white) and Marechal Foch grapes on a well drained, fertile bench on the north side of the 64-acre O'Keefe property. A fully functional winery has been established in one of the Ranch buildings and our tasting and sales area occupies a portion of the Gift Shop. We have a wine garden picnic area, where patrons can enjoy our wine as well as local cheese from the Village Cheese Co. and other fine products from local farms and cottage industries. Who could ask for more in a relaxing afternoon of sipping, sampling and so much more--it's a feast for the senses.

Talented artists are combining their thirst for a visual and tactile adventure in the beautiful new art gallery space at Hunting Hawk Vineyards. Everything from concrete to watercolor will be exhibited as promising new artists gain exposure for their work alongside experienced and respected names. Workshops and hands-on demonstrations will be part of the fun!.

Oh, and the wine. Hand made in small batches in a pristine creekside setting, the comprehensive selection of reds, whites, blushes and dessert wines have been discovered by dozens of B.C. restaurants and thousands of devoted customers.

In addition to free tours and tastings at the Spallumcheen Valley site, we offer complete service for special events, such as grand openings, weddings, anniversary celebrations and the like.

Oh, by the way, this is Sophie, our Border Collie, in charge of sticks, balls and occasionally the remote control.

So You Want To Be A Winemaker

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our annual 'So You Want to be a Winemaker' event. It was a lot of fun despite the weather on Sunday that kept most of the action indoors.
